Design 2082 Saga
I keep finding these big, powerful yachts in our archives which are clearly labeled as racing yachts but they sure look like great cruising boats to me. I am sure many have been converted in their later lives. In this case a v-berth forward and a couple of hanging lockers would do the trick.
Saga was built for a resident of Rio De Janeiro but built in Holland, by Franz Maas, Ltd. She is constructed of fiberglass and was launched in 1971. This center cockpit configuration was fairly common for the period as you have seen in recent postings.
Here are the plans.
Principal Dimensions
LOA 57'-8"
LWL 42'-9"
Beam 14'-10"
Draft 8'-10"
Displacement 46,074 lbs
Ballast 22,000 lbs
Sail Area 1,440 sq ft
