Design 15 Velero
This design takes us back to 1931. And we don't have much other than the plans. Velero was built of wood by William E. Bunce of Huntington, Long Island, New York. The last bit of information we have is a brokerage listing from 1959 that states the boat was built to the highest specification including mahogany planking with Evudur bronze fasteners screwed to white oak frames, lead keel, hollow spars and stainless steel rigging. She was rebuilt in 1953 with new floors, stem, trunk cabin top, main weather deck re-canvassed and "modern" hatches installed.
Here's the layout.
