Design 2427 Diving Excursion Vessel
Here is the preliminary design of a large dive boat to be used for extended excursions. The project never got any traction and was scrapped. It's an interesting idea: large diving platform with 12 staterooms, social areas, infirmary and photo lab.
The boat was designed with twin Stewart & Stevenson, 16V-92-MT1 engines producing 1,200 hp each for an estimated top speed of 20.3 knots.
