Design 11 Alsumar

This design is not to be confused with design #26. This boat was built for a prominent member of American Yacht Club and built by Minneford Yacht Yard of City Island, New York. She was launched in 1931. You know a boat has been around a while when the file records her name(s) as Madeline, ex-Cayuga, ex-Windoon, ex-Restless IV, ex-Alsumar. We don't know her current name.
I have heard it said that this boat was a prototype of the New York 32 but I'm not convinced after reviewing the shape, the rig, layout and construction.
